Social media continues to dominate traditional media in creating brand awareness and consumer engagement. As brands and individuals alike increasingly leverage a variety of social channels to drive their communications strategy, they must be aware of the legal risks involved.

Join Deborah Gonzales, Esq., Attorney and Author of "Managing Online Risk: Apps, Mobile & Social Media Security, IP, Digital, Entertainment & Tech Law” as she shares 7 tips for reducing social media legal risks. Deborah will help attendees navigate legal issues in the digital and social media world by discussing:

  • Potential risks of social media
  • Social media risk avoidance
  • Social media policies
  • Employee use of social media
  • HR practices of social media

Deborah will also share direct examples of where organizations went astray as well as examples of successfully executed social media strategies within the guardrails of the law.

Whether you are looking to develop a social media policy for your organization, or better understand social media legal regulations to consult your clients, this session is for you!

Deborah is the founder of Law2sm, LLC, a legal consulting firm focusing on helping its clients navigate the legal, and compliance issues relating to the new digital and social media world.
