Managing Reputation in the Digital News Cycle
Four communications pros showcase how thinking fast and reacting faster can protect your brand in an instant

Today’s news cycle isn’t just 24-hours; it’s minute-by-minute. Every second counts when it comes to your organization’s reputation. Learn from some of Atlanta’s most visible organizations as they share proven strategies to proactively and reactively manage reputation in real-time as news happens.

GPB Morning Edition host Leah Fleming will lead a frank discussion of best practices and worst case scenarios with Deisha Barnett of the Atlanta Chamber, Betsy Talton of Delta Air Lines, Peggy Gardner of UPS and Conroy Boxhill of Edelman. You’ll walk away from this interactive panel with:

  • An understanding of the digital news cycle and how to efficiently and accurately manage reputation for your organization.
  • A new perspective on using digital media and social media channels to deliver your organizations most important messages during the most challenging situations.
  • Key takeaways about how to mobilize every day to combat issues that could take your organization off course.

Panelists:

  • Deisha Barnett, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, Metro Atlanta Chamber
  • Betsy Talton, Managing Director, Corporate Communications, Delta Air Lines
  • Peggy Gardner, Director, Segment Marketing Public Relations and Social Media, UPS

Moderator: Leah Fleming, Senior Anchor / Correspondent - Morning Edition Host, GPB
