Michael Torres, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, The Americas for InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has a central mantra guiding communicators today: “Move from a ‘go do’ to a ‘go-to’ function!”

Join IHG’s outspoken leader – a former grassroots organizer and communications leader for some of the world’s most recognized brands/companies (Budweiser, PepsiCo, etc.) - for an interactive moderated luncheon about blasting past tactics to the big picture strategy. Torres will share his perspectives on:

  • Honing your distinct point of view: “Insights grounded in analytics are the truths that set you free from making emotional decisions.”
  • Heeding the call of leadership: “Have a POV and make the call. It’s not about you. It’s about what’s right for the business.”
  • Harvesting trends: “Consume, consume, consume. Read everything, and live in a perpetual state of inquiry. If content is king, then context rules supreme.”

Come ready to challenge conventions as this star communicator discusses insights that will help us all become better PR pros.

Speaker:

Michael Torres, Vice President, Corporate Affairs, The Americas, InterContinental Hotels Group
