Whether you’re a techie or traditionalist, get ready for the next era of communications! Marketing futurist Cathy Hackl and branding visionary Sam Wolfe have been to the far frontiers of technology for PR and marketing and will share what lies ahead.

Whether it's virtual reality (VR) helping to reinvent storytelling and experiential events or augmented reality (AR) apps transforming the way we try on makeup, a new technological shift is ushering in an era where content is no longer flat, it's now 3D/360, virtual and sometimes holographic. As these engaging innovations continue to mature, the need for valuable and effective mixed reality (MR) content will skyrocket and provide great opportunities and new challenges for PR pros.

Our speakers will discuss how a variety of new technologies impact PR and newsgathering, content marketing and social media. They will delve into the new ways brands will tell stories and what tools professionals need to embrace now. There will even be technology demos for attendees!

Outcomes from the session:

1. Gain a better understanding of at least ten new technologies affecting our industry
2. Gain a better understanding of how VR/AR/MR/360 will impact content and social media and how this in turn will change our profession
3. Learn about resources and tools that can help PR pros be prepared for innovations ahead in 2018
