Distinguished Public Relations Award
Bill Bolling is the founder of the Atlanta Community Food Bank, one of the largest hunger relief organizations in the Southeast.
Bill's story began as a tireless champion for the hungry and as a charter member of Feeding America, the national network of food banks. He started Atlanta Community Food Bank in 1979 and was instrumental in the start-up of food banks across the country and internationally through the Global Food Bank Network. He is one of the most vocal, empowering and inspiring voices behind the movement to fight hunger and to build and nurture community.
He is a frequent speaker on topics related to hunger, poverty, regionalism, affordable housing and public policy reform. His skills in bridging various public sectors have made him a leader in strengthening the community to serve those most in need. Prior to his association with the Food Bank, he served as director of community ministries for St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Atlanta.
Bill also chairs the board of the Food Well Alliance. Formed in partnership with Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Food Well Alliance seeks to connect and strengthen the local food movement around building healthier communities.
Bill earned his Master of Arts in Psychology and Counseling from University of West Georgia and degrees in Business and Education from Central Piedmont College of Appalachian State University.
Luminary Star Award
Lisa Bigazzi Tilt is president of Full Tilt Consulting, a public relations/content strategy firm she founded in 2006. She received her B.S. in Media Communications at Florida State University. After some time in radio, she entered the field of public relations at The Headline Group/Edelman Atlanta, where she worked for 10 years. She then joined Patrick Davis Partners (Davis Brand Capital) as vice president, Lisa has received more than 20 awards from PRSA, IABC and Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International, including PRSA Georgia's 2002 "Best of Phoenix."
Lisa has served as co-chair of the Chapter's Public Relations Committee for the past four years where her initial work included creating its PR plan. She has since worked on executing those strategies focused on writing and pitching through leadership articles on behalf of the current Chapter president. She has been a member of the Independent Counselors (IC) SIG since joining PRSA 10 years ago, and has participated in Chapter initiatives including critiquing resumes at Real World and judging other PRSA Chapter awards.
Shining Star Award
Annette Filliat, APR, is an award-winning communications professional with more than 10 years experience in the technology industry. The focus of her career has been to create opportunities for underrepresented women and minorities in STEM education.
Currently, Annette is a communications manager at Georgia Tech where she oversees communications and marketing for seven units within the Institute Diversity department. Prior to Georgia Tech, she served as director, public relations of Boys & Girls Clubs of America; public relations specialist, North America of Barco, Inc,; and account supervisor for Arketi Group.
Annette's work has been featured in PR News, PR Week, and BtoB Magazine, and she has earned more than 20 industry awards. Annette serves as director-at-large of the PRSA Board of Directors and district chair of the Stetson University Alumni Board of Directors. She holds a bachelor's degree in communication studies from Stetson University and an Accreditation in Public Relations from PRSA.
Rising Star Award
Sarah Funderburk, APR, an intown Atlanta resident and public relations fanatic, found her niche at SPR Atlanta, serving the Southeast's professional service firms with strategic public relations counsel.
Sarah's responsibilities as Director of Public Relations and Partner at SPR Atlanta include direction of all public relations activities at APR and leading the staff, which may include account management, client success analysis, team leadership, media training, client consultation, writing, media relations, social media and much more. As the former head of SPR's Commercial Real Estate Division, Sarah has focused primarily on clients in the commercial real estate field. She now focuses on all professional services as Director of Public Relations, while still being directly involved in multiple accounts. In 2015, Sarah earned her Accreditation in Public Relations certification.
Sarah is an Auburn University alumna, earning a bachelor's degree in Public Relations with a focus on marketing in 2011. She has served on multiple committees within PRSA Georgia, and this year she serves as the Social Media Co-Chair.
