Chapter Champion Award: August 2023, Kyna Lee Willis

Kyna Lee Willis is the August Chapter Champion in recognition of her work on the DEI Committee. Kyna was instrumental in planning and delivering a successful AAPI panel earlier this year as well as a DEI session at our Annual Conference.

“My experience joining and serving on a committee for PRSA Georgia has impacted my life tremendously by allowing me to expand my professional network, build meaningful friendships and learn from a group of talented and diverse professionals,” she said.

Kyna is an award-winning communications and branding professional who has established a stellar reputation with nearly 20 years of experience designing and executing multifaceted public affairs, public education and brand management campaigns. She has advised Fortune 500 CEOs, beauty executives and nonprofit organizations on the best ways to reach diverse audiences, including women, communities of color, people with disabilities and the underserved. Kyna also has a passion for mentorship and shares her know-how with college students who aspire to have a career in public relations.

Currently, Kyna works in public relations and communications for the American College of Rheumatology, where she leads a national public awareness campaign to raise awareness and advocate for the 100+ conditions under the umbrella of rheumatic disease. The Hoosier native is a two-time graduate of Ball State University and holds both Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Public Relations, and a minor in French. She was active in the PRSA Hoosier chapter for several years before moving to Atlanta.
