DE&I Committee sponsors service day at Sheltering Arms

The PRSA GA DEI Committee recently rolled up our sleeves and braved the brutal Georgia heat to create a lovely garden while partnering with Sheltering Arms, a local non-profit early childhood education organization. Six preschoolers joined the DEI members for the gardening project and assembled two raised garden beds and planted 12 marigolds, greens, peppers, basil, tomatoes using 14 bags of soil. The group added a net on top of one of the garden boxes and also instructed the children to water the gardens once the planting was complete.

We hope that the gardens will be fruitful throughout the summer and future.

The DEI Committee looks forward to serving the community in the months to come, and we would like to extend a special recognition to Logan Doctson for managing the activity! If you have recommendations for future service day activities, please contact Betsy Helgager Hughes at
