Georgia Chapter of PRSA Elects 2016 Board & Assembly Delegates

GEORGIA CHAPTER OF PRSA ELECTS 2016 BOARD & ASSEMBLY DELEGATES 

The Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (www.prsageorgia.org) today announced its elected officers for calendar year 2016. Elected to the board are:

President – Alison Ilg, president, Ilg Communications

President-elect – Elyse Hammett, APR, vice president of marketing and communications, The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta

Treasurer Karlie Lahm, APR, director of PR & communications, Moe’s Southwest Grill

Secretary – Kent Landers, APR, group director, corporate media relations, The Coca-Cola Company

Directors at Large include: Stephen Brown, APR; Victoria Barksdale McGhee, APR; Annette Filliat, APR; Karen Cole, Patty Gregory, APR; Louise Mulherin, Ann Cave, Stephanie Fitzsimmons, APR; Jasmine Hoffman, APR; Justine Holcomb, APR.

Assembly Delegates include: Judy Wicks, APR, Fellow PRSA; Neil Hirsch, APR; Lynne Sallot, APR, Fellow PRSA; Alicia Thompson, APR: Alison Tyrer, Stephanie Stinn, APR; Cindi Kurczewski, Julie Turner Davis, Debbie Fitzgerald, Lynn Medcalf, APR.

About PRSA Georgia

PRSA Georgia (prsageorgia.org), the second-largest local chapter in the national society, consists of more than 900 professionals throughout Georgia. Its mission is to enhance the profession, provide continuing education and offer networking opportunities for its members. The Chapter hosts regular monthly meetings and seminars, an Annual Conference for professionals and an annual Real World PR collegiate conference day.

The Chapter includes eight Special Interest Groups (Corporate and Employee Communications, Healthcare, Independent Counselors, Leader Board, Nonprofit, Technology, Travel and Tourism, and Young Professionals) that meet at various times. It also supports eight PRSSA (student society) groups at the following colleges:  Berry College (Rome), Columbus State University (Columbus), Georgia College & State University (Milledgeville), Georgia State University (Atlanta), Georgia Southern University (Statesboro), Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw), University of Georgia (Athens), and University of West Georgia (Carrollton).
