Happy New Year from PRSA Georgia President Karlie Lahm, APR

Happy New Year from PRSA Georgia President Karlie Lahm, APRHappy New Year!…..and welcome to a new look for the PRSA Georgia website.  I invite you to check out the new design with updated graphics and more user-friendly navigation. Best of all, the site is now mobile-friendly.

Along with the 2018 board of directors, I’m looking forward to this year and shaking things up a bit to better serve our members. Our chapter’s leaders have been hard at work planning stellar professional development programming, creating engaging social content and, yes, already thinking about how we can top this past year’s Awards Celebration.

One of the biggest changes this year that is already creating a lot of buzz is that two of our marquee events – Annual Conference and Real World – are being combined into one event, with joint keynotes and tracks specific to both professionals and students. It’s an awesome opportunity for us to elevate the level of speakers, give pros more access to rising PR stars and provide students more networking opportunities with professionals. Mark your calendars for Friday, March 23; registration is already open, so sign up before the January 29 Early Bird deadline!

There’s much more to come this year, and I’m thankful for our members as we work together to advance our organization and ourselves as PR and Communications professionals. I’m also grateful to Immediate Past President Elyse Hammett, APR, who led us through 2017 and focused on engagement, with a ton of spirit and enthusiasm. I promise to keep the torch she passed shining bright throughout 2018.

Best regards,

Karlie Lahm, APR
2018 PRSA Georgia President
