The University of Georgia is seeking an assistant director to oversee marketing and communications to help the UGA Center for Continuing Education & Hotel develop and deliver programming efforts and grow participation in its non-academic credit in-person and online continuing education programs, it’s youth and pre-collegiate programs, and onsite conferences.
The position oversees two external marketing firms, leads project development, manages departmental strategies for growth, and evaluates internal processes and established standards that lead to high quality program.
The qualified applicant will have experience 5-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, experience working with marketing firms, and overseeing on-staff marketing and communications staff.
Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, professional experience with managing social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, experience developing a marketing or communication plan, and experience with email marketing.
Proposed salary: $75,000-$85,000, commensurate with experience.
