Communications Manager

The University of Georgia is seeking a communications manager to promote online and in-person continuing education and youth programs facilitated by the center. The communications manager will help coordinate and implement marketing and communications campaigns by curating and writing copy for a variety of platforms including but not limited to print and broadcast media, electronic publications, social media channels and websites.

Qualifications include:

  • Baccalaureate degree in the field of communications, and at least 2-3 years of experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to visualize compelling visual storytelling elements for written content.
  • Proficiency and experience with social media content management, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics
  • Self-starter able to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality of work and meeting deadlines
  • Entrepreneurial and able to seek opportunities to promote the Georgia Center
  • Ability to develop engaging and impactful story content
  • Ability to write and edit using AP style
  • Familiarity with photography and/or videography best practices
  • Strong project management experience

Posted salary is $50,000- $60,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
