Karen Caro Receives PRSA Georgia’s October Champion

Karen CaroKaren Caro is the recipient of the October, 2016 Chapter Champion Award for her dedicated volunteer work with PRSA Georgia.  Karen Is co-chair of the Chapter’s Professional Development committee and coordinates the programming for the monthly luncheons and seminars. She served on the Chapter Awards committee, which recognizes outstanding individuals in the public relations profession, in 2012 and 2013.  She was the committee’s co-chair from 2014-2015.  She also has previously served on the Annual Conference committee.

I then became involved in committee work, which led to building a network of industry peers in my field. I have learned so much from everyone with whom I have volunteered. We have an impressive group of professionals here. I know that if I ever need to reach out to just about any company in Atlanta, there’s a contact through PRSA.”

Karen is the Marketing Manager at Cobb Galleria Centre and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre, where she has worked for 10 years. She previously worked in Marketing and Communications for the Cobb Chamber of Commerce and got her career started as a reporter for daily newspapers in North Carolina and Marietta. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from Wake Forest University.
