Michelle Geiger, APR, Earns Accreditation Designation

The APR Committee celebrated Michelle Geiger, APR, with a “drive by” pinning to acknowledge her wonderful accomplishment.

“I chose to pursue my APR as a professional growth opportunity,” said Michelle Geiger, APR. Preparing for the panel presentation and exam helped me enhance my knowledge and strengthen the professional skills I had developed throughout my career. Completing the process during the pandemic was unexpected, but I’m glad I did it!”

About Michelle Geiger, APR:

Michelle Geiger, APR, is a communications professional with more than 15 years of experience in educational institutions and nonprofit organizations. She is currently the director of executive communications and advancement with the National Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)/Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Association for Children. Prior to joining National CASA/GAL, Michelle worked in higher education, serving as director of enrollment marketing at Occidental College in Los Angeles and head of communications at Discovery College in Hong Kong. She has experience in advancement communications, alumni relations, admission marketing, brand development, and communications planning and management.

Michelle earned her bachelor of arts degree in mass communication from Louisiana State University, and her master of education degree in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina. She also holds a graduate certificate in nonprofit management from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
