Career-long relationships are a highly valued asset developed through active membership with the PRSA community. The more you volunteer and participate, the faster you expand your network and exposure to leading public relations professionals.

PRSA provides career-enhancing tools and resources, as well as an array of networking opportunities to help you enhance your career experience. You can engage with other public relations professionals across a variety of specialties, industries and experience levels.


National Membership Options Are Based on Your Professional Experience
Join Now

  • Do you have more than three years of experience in public relations?  
    Join as a Member ($255 annual dues plus a one-time $65 initiation fee).
  • Do you have less than three years of experience in public relations? 
    Join as an Associate Member ($115 - $200 annual dues based on years experience).
  • Were you a PRSSA member? And did you graduate within the past two years? 
    Join as an Associate Member, PRSSA Graduate ($60 annual dues).
  • Are you a full-time graduate student working toward a public relations degree? 
    Join as an Associate Member, Graduate Student ($60 annual dues).
  • Are you a former member of PRSA?  
    Join as a Reinstating Member ($255 annual dues plus a one-time $35 reinstatement fee).
  • Are you part of an organization that has five (5) or more individuals interested in joining? 
    When you sign up your team of five or more members for the first time, receive a FREE Chapter 
    or FREE Professional Interest Section membership.
  • Are you retired?
    Members who have been in good standing for at least five years may qualify for retirement status ($50 annual dues). You must be employed less than 50 percent of the time.

Accreditation is a mark of distinction and expertise in PR.

  • Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is the only professional certification program open to public relations professionals.
  • Administered by the Universal Accreditation Board (a consortium of 10 leading industry organizations, including PRSA).
  • PRSA Georgia helps candidates prepare for Accreditation and assembles readiness review panels when candidates come forward to declare intent to sit for the APR exam. Read more on Accreditation.

  • PRSA Georgia’s Directory provides a searchable list of all members online.


Phoenix Awards add distinction to your resume.

  • PRSA Georgia’s annual Phoenix Awards recognize excellence in the public relations profession.
  • Open to all PR practitioners who reside in Georgia.
  • Entries are submitted May through June each year.
  • Winners are announced at the November Awards Celebration.


Individual Awards offer recognition.

  • Chapter Awards are presented annually at the November Awards Celebration to recognize community service and professional contributions at all levels
  • The Chapter Champion Award recognizes PRSA Georgia volunteers who have gone the extra mile in service to the Chapter.
