PRSA Georgia Recognizes December Chapter Champion Daniel GroceDaniel Groce is the recipient of the December, 2016 Chapter Champion Award for his dedicated volunteer work with PRSA Georgia. Daniel will begin his second year as co-chair of the Chapter’s Phoenix Awards committee next month. In this role, he leads the Phoenix Awards submission process and works with the committee to increase the number of entries the chapter receives each year. He previously co-chaired the Young Professionals Special Interest Group, which offers professional development and networking opportunities to our members who are newer to the public relations profession. In addition, he sat on a panel discussion at Real World in 2015 and served as a member of the Annual Conference Committee in 2014.

“As a communications professional who lacked a ‘formal’ background in public relations, I joined PRSA Georgia in 2013 for the excellent learning opportunities available through the chapter, in addition to the tremendous network of public relations professionals I’ve gained as a result of my membership,” Daniel said.

Daniel is a communications lead at Novelis, the world leader in rolled aluminum products and the world’s largest aluminum recycler. He supports Novelis’ North America Region with internal communications, public relations and government affairs strategies. Prior to Novelis, Daniel held similar roles at Allstate Insurance Company and the Georgia Agribusiness Council. A lifelong Georgian and proud resident of Smyrna, Daniel graduated from Mercer University in Macon with a degree in Political Science.
