Are you Looking for Ways to Connect with PR Colleagues and Support PRSA Georgia in 2023?

Portrait of Alison Ilg

Like many of you I’ve been involved in PRSA Georgia for many years and in many roles – committee member; board member and chapter president in 2016.

When I completed my volunteer years as board member, chapter president and past president, I decided to step back from PRSA Georgia as a volunteer. But, I could only stay away for so long…..

This fall I was thinking about the chapter and wanted to get back to volunteering. I missed connecting with my fellow PRSA colleagues and feel I have a lot of past knowledge to share. So, I thought about which committees I really enjoyed and reached out to Caroline Huston and Karen Caro about getting involved again with the membership committee.

I attended my first Zoom membership committee meeting in December. It was great to connect and share ideas and best practices from initiatives we did years ago. We will dust off a few of these old ideas and try them again.

As the chapter looks to move into 2023, this is a good opportunity to give your time, talent and previous knowledge. Email if you’d like to join one of the committees, judge award entries, etc. Consider this a gentle volun-told nudge to reach out and volunteer.
