Special Interest Groups

As a PRSA Georgia member, you can connect with other PR and communications professionals who share interests through our Special Interest Group (SIG) communities.

As of now, the Independent Counselors SIG is the only Special Interest Group available to join.  Come back to our site later this year for more updates.

Note: You must be a PRSA Georgia member to join a SIG.

Independent Counselors

The Independent Counselors (IC) group is a network of experienced public relations professionals who deliver high-performance communications services for clients in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. ICs work as solo practitioners, within small agencies (less than three employees), freelancers, or as part of a local, regional or national virtual team.

Nonprofit

No one knows the value of networking better than nonprofit professionals. Often with smaller budgets and staffs than for-profit counterparts, relationships with colleagues, volunteers and pro-bono consultants are invaluable in helping nonprofit professionals test ideas and stretch resources.

Nonprofit professionals with marketing and PR in their job title, as well as those who wear more than just a communications hat, will find Nonprofit SIG meetings valuable in a variety of ways. Independent counselors and other PR professionals who specialize in nonprofit work also are welcome to attend.

Young Professionals

Are you a PR professional with less than seven years’ experience, a graduating student or new to the PR and communications industry? If so, the Young Professionals (YP) is a SIG you’ll want to be part of to expand your network and knowledge.

In addition to providing educational opportunities, our YP’s are also known for our social events that provide a fun and casual way to continue your involvement in the Chapter and SIG.
