Trey Newstedt is the recipient of the June 2022 Chapter Champion Award for his dedicated volunteer work with PRSA Georgia since joining in 2016. Currently in his second year as Co-Chair for Professional Development, he has elevated programming for manager-level practitioners with targeted content. He is passionate about giving back to students and young professionals, having served as a co-chair of the Young Professionals SIG for two years. Trey was also awarded the Rising Star Award for PRSA Georgia in 2020.
“It has been so rewarding to be a part of PRSA Georgia and serve in leadership positions on multiple committees. I have loved helping to lead Professional Development over the past two years,” he said. We have such a strong team and I enjoy organizing sessions that help our members grow in their careers. It has also allowed me to meet more of our incredible PRSA Georgia members, which has helped me grow as a professional.”
Trey is the Enterprise PR Manager for IHG Hotels & Resorts, responsible for highlighting the industry-leading work happening across marketing, commercial, and technology at IHG including guest experience and hotel innovations, B2B offerings, and more. Since joining IHG in August of 2017 as a Communications Specialist, he has worked across Holiday Inn, IHG Rewards Club, and its Upscale brands. Trey also supported the global team in the development and execution of campaigns including Clues to the Neighborhood for Hotel Indigo and on partnerships with Grubhub and OpenTable. Prior to joining IHG, he worked at Edelman and Rountree Group Integrated Communications. He graduated from Elon University with a B.A. in Strategic Communications.
