Luminary Star Award

This award for achievement in public relations recognizes a Chapter member with 13 – 19 years of experience who has demonstrated significant leadership and made contributions to the profession of public relations through work experience, Chapter involvement and community activities.

J. Michael Neumeier, APR
Principal, Arketi Group

Mike Neumeier, APR has nearly 20 years’ experience in public relations, marketing and analyst relations. He was on the PR News 2003 15-to-Watch list, named the 2013 Technology PR Professional of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), was inducted to the National PRSSA Hall of Fame in 2010 and is a past President of the PRSA|GA chapter.
Mike is co-owner and Principal of Arketi Group, a PR and digital marketing agency for BtoB technology companies. Previously, he served as director of media and analyst relations for Interland, and has also served as a PR and marketing executive for two large independent marketing and PR agencies, as the director of news services for Mercer University, and as a writer at the University of Florida’s Health Science Center. Mike is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and has earned more than 60 industry awards, including a PRSA Bronze Anvil for architecting a demand-creation program resulting in a $13 million increase in sales.

Shining Star Award

This award for achievement in public relations recognizes a Chapter member with six to 12 years of experience who has demonstrated significant leadership and made contributions to the profession of public relations through work experience, Chapter involvement and community activities.

Kent Landers, APR
Group Director – Corporate Media Relations, The Coca-Cola Company

Kent Landers, APR, is Group Director – Corporate Media Relations for The Coca-Cola Company. Kent is responsible for overseeing global media relations strategy with a particular focus on telling the Company’s global growth story as it works to achieve its 2020 Vision of doubling system revenues during this decade. Before joining Coke, he served for 13 years in key communications roles at Delta Air Lines and prior to that as an account executive at Thompson & Baker Public Relations in Memphis, Tenn.
Kent has held many leadership roles in the Chapter. A former PRSSA national president, he has had a notable impact with collegiate relations. He established a collegiate learning grant for PRSSA leaders and oversaw the publication of the first handbook for PRSSA Georgia faculty advisers. He is a national co-chairman for the Champions for PRSSA and in 2004 was inducted into the National PRSSA Hall of Fame. His service to the Chapter also includes chairing the accreditation committee and his current role as Assembly Delegate.
A
graduate of the University of Tennessee-Martin, Kent and his wife, Elizabeth, have one son, Nathaniel.

 

Rising Star Award

This award for achievement in public relations recognizes a Chapter member with five years or less experience who has demonstrated significant leadership and made contributions to the profession of public relations through work experience, Chapter involvement and community activities.

Laura Dudebout
Communications Specialist, Novelis, Inc.

Laura Dudebout is a communications specialist at Novelis,where she coordinates internal and external communications for the company’s North American business. Previously,Laura served as an account executive for Wilbert News Strategies and as public relations coordinator for Sustainable Atlanta. Laura graduated from Miami University with a degree in strategic communications and minor in business management.
