PRSA Georgia Announces Change to Board

PRSA Georgia President Jasmine Hoffman, APR, has appointed member Rukiya Campbell, APR, to join the Chapter’s Board of Directors. Campbell will serve as the Board Liaison for the Annual Conference, and she will assume the remainder of Elizabeth Olmstead’s Board term through the end of 2019. Olmstead is stepping down due to major commitments at work and at home.

Campbell serves as the director of communications and community relations for the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. As the primary media contact and lead communications practitioner for one of the largest utilities in the southeast serving 1.2 million customers, she leads the team responsible for internal and external communications, social media, graphic design, multimedia and community and education outreach. With over 20 years of public relations and communications experience, in corporate, agency and nonprofit sectors, Campbell cultivated her communications career between Atlanta, Georgia and Indianapolis, Indiana where she served in a variety of management roles for various companies including Hilton Hotels Worldwide, a CBS television station affiliate, Butler University and the NCAA. A native of Indianapolis, Indiana, Campbell is a proud alumna of Indiana State University and West Virginia University, and holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications (IMC) respectively. She also attained her accreditation in public relations (APR) in 2011.
