Expanding and Building our Connections

Expanding and Building our Connections As We Celebrate Successes in 2022

For many of us, 2022 brought fresh opportunities to connect and celebrate the everyday successes in our professional lives. PRSA Georgia serves as a consistent touchpoint for PR pros, even as we continue to navigate the “when” and “where” of our work, whether it’s full days in the office, hybrid friendly or full on remote.

The year brought an exciting return to more in-person person events from the Annual Conference to the popular Media Panel to our recent Awards Celebration. Additional IRL professional development sessions ranging from career tips to the benefits of working in B2B were also sprinkled throughout the year, and we continued to advance learning opportunities through virtual sessions that spanned from refreshing your writing skills and promoting sustainability to TikTok advertising and beyond.

We also dug deeper into our Chapter’s commitment to intentionally apply the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, accessibility, and belonging. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee launched the new “Ask Us Anything” professional development series, which explored various micro-topics in a less formal way. And, of course, we continued to support our members on their accreditation journey through our APR Jumpstart Classes.

Get ready to join us for even more in 2023 as the Chapter continues to evolve. Here are three easy ways to get started.

  • Sign up for professional development sessions – and invite a colleague! Check out the latest at Calendar | PRSA Georgia
  • Volunteer to serve on a committee! Committees | PRSA Georgia
  • Share your ideas on how we can grow, deepen, and expand our connections! Reach out to Chapter Administrator Victoria Stanton with questions and feedback.

Finally, nothing signifies the end of a year quite like a “best of” list. For the Chapter, one of this year’s highlights is the addition of more than 80 new members and the reinstatement of more than 40 members – and that’s just through the beginning of the 4th quarter!
